PURCHASING A PARKING PERMIT
Applications may be obtained from our Bevis Hall Office, from our web site, or by mail. All permits are valid for a fixed period of time; however, permits may be purchased at any time of year, and prices are prorated monthly as the year progresses.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
Cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express, Payroll Deduction (for those eligible, please see the following page for complete information), money order, and Buck I.D. are acceptable methods of payment.
Checks should be made payable to THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY.
(No counter checks or starter checks accepted.)
Please do not send cash through the mail.
UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENTAL REQUESTS/100WS
Transportation & Parking Services offers University departments a variety of products and services, such as visitor surface permits and prepaid parking coupons. Departments may submit a 100W for payment of these services. For more information, call us at 292-9341.
University departments may not pay for employee parking per Human Resources policy.

PURCHASING A PARKING PERMIT MID-YEAR
Faculty and Staff
Parking permits may be purchased any time during the academic year. Faculty and Staff permits are valid September 1st of any given year through August 31st of the following year and are pro-rated down on the 1st day of the month throughout the year. For Faculty and Staff opting for payroll deduction as a method of payment, the first month’s payment is due at the time of purchase (except for those who purchase their permit for the following year prior to September 1st). Subsequent payments will be taken from the second paycheck of the month (for bi-weekly) or the monthly check from the following month forward through August of that permit year. Refunds for Faculty and Staff permits are not available after July 31st.
Students
Student permits are also valid from September 1st of any given year through August 31st of the following year and are prorated down on the 1st day of the month throughout the year. Refunds for Student permits are not available after July 31st.
