Summer Construction Impacts Campus Parking and Traffic
The loss of surface parking and the occurrence of road closures
/ detours during summer construction will impact daily parking
and may create a ripple effect in other areas of campus as
customers relocate to new areas. For more information, please

9th Avenue Surface Parking Lot Closes Permanently
on Monday, June 9th
The 9th Avenue surface parking lot, located directly east
of the existing 9th Avenue Garage, closes permanently on Monday,
June 9, 2008. The lot is closing so that construction can
begin on the new, 997 space 9th Avenue East Garage. For more

9th Ave. Garage Elevator Closures Continue
Both of the elevators in the 9th Ave. Garage will be out of
service on Friday, May 30, 2008 from 7:00am to 12:00pm. Customers
are asked to utilize the stairwells to access lower garage
levels during this time. Elevator closures will occur periodically
- project completion is scheduled for the end of September
2008.
Lane Avenue Garage Construction
Construction of the new 1400 space Lane Avenue Parking Garage
and Student Academic Services building began on Monday, April

Electrical Substation Parking Lot Closure
The Electrical Substation parking lot, located on the southwest
corner of John Herrick Dr. and Cannon Dr., closed on Wednesday,
March 21, 2007 for the transformer replacement project.
Section of Neil Ave. and South Oval Drive
Closed Due to Library Construction Project
On Friday, December 29, 2006, the construction fence for the
Library Renovation Project closed the section of Neil Ave.
behind the Library and the section of South Oval Drive from
Neil Ave. to just west of the steps to Mirror Lake Hollow.
The 2 hour spaces near the Faculty Club can continue to be
accessed via Hagerty Drive off College Rd. The closure
is expected to last approximately 3 years. The Main Library
(William Oxley Thompson Memorial Library) has moved to the
Ackerman
Library during the renovation. Customers can access this
library via the Library/Buckeye
Village bus route.
Pedestrian Walkway to Close Between Sullivant
Hall and The Ohio Union Garage
On Monday, April 10, 2006 the sidewalk between Sullivant
Hall and The Ohio Union Garage will close for construction.
The alternate walkway to the West side of Sullivant Hall is
via the walkway North of Sullivant Hall.
