Phase one of the renovations is complete and the 9th Ave. Garage reopened on January 1, 2007! The work was split into two phases. Phase one required the total shut down of the garage. Phase two, which consists of applying a protective membrane to the deck floors, will only impact a few hundred spaces at a time. Since phase two has to be completed in warm weather, it will occur this summer, when there are generally available spaces in this garage.
The 9th Avenue Garage West Entrance will remain closed for the winter season. This is due to the 8% slope created during the construction of the Hospital Quad, making this entrance ramp hazardous during inclement weather. All customers will need to use the north entrance to access this facility. The closure will remain in place until late Spring. |
